For adrenaline-seekers and sports-fanatics looking for new experiences, we propose a completely unique way of discovering the cave: look down from the ceiling of the Aven d'Orgnac with "Underground Vertigo" and the "Panoramic Descent"!
*Good physical condition necessary. Participants must not suffer from vertigo. Caving activities available all year, reservation required.
This is a suggested program for a day at the Aven d’Orgnac. Certain activities are free, others can be reserved and paid online or on site, subject to availability.
Enjoy the coolness of the morning and the first rays of sun and discover the Orgnac woodland. A footpath leads you beneath shady oak trees and Mediterranean pines. Immerse yourself in the geological, karstological and human history of the Ronze plateau and the southern Ardèche. Nothing better to recharge your batteries!
A grandiose tour, in the depths of the Aven d’Orgnac a “Grand Site de France”. Explore three immense chambers and admire the beauty of the subterranean landscapes: shapes that evoke giant palm trees, stacked plates, columns, ochred draperies... under 55 meter high ceilings.
Can you hear the gentle crackling of the fire in the hearth and the first notes of the flute rising and falling in the air ? Travel back in time 350 000 years, discover the past and explore the fascinating collections of the Cité de la Préhistoire.

Suspended 40 meters up, progress along on the walls of the cave with our Underground Vertigo experience. The adventure finishes in style with a 30 meter-long zip line!
Abseil 50 meters down from the natural cave entrance, equipped with a climbing descender and experience the Panoramic Descent. A unique panoramic view, a truly sensational experience, supervised by an experienced caving guide.
